About Us
Set Shop is New York’s most thorough one stop shop devoted to carrying resources exclusively to photo, video, TV, and film sets as well as store windows, trade shows, step & repeat and fashion shows since 1977.
We sell raw materials like photography background paper, SETPAPER, acrylic sheet, foam core, lighting gels and special effects. If you ever wonder where the purple smoke or special effects in your favorite movies come from, it’s likely Set Shop. We rent haze, smoke, snow, bubble, and confetti machines, as well as generators, 24” motorized turn tables.
Our set construction Set Shop Scenic offers set and prop custom fabrication with wood, metal, acrylic from large to small scale. Some of our sets, pedestals and freestanding and movable temporary flats are available to rent for weddings, proms and school plays.
Our in-house delivery truck runs 24 X 7.
